As the Facilities Program Manager, based in Tucson, AZ, you will have a critical role leading the facilities organization, of up to 6 direct reports with a total team of approximately 25 to 30 personnel. Your team will be responsible for the clients Central Utility Plant (CUP) Operations, Sanitary Water Treatment Plant (SWTP) Operations, and Maintenance Technicians (MT) teams to maintain successful delivery of site utility services 24 hours a day 365 days a year of on-site (field) management of facility, equipment maintenance & repair and small-scale construction activities and environmental regulatory compliance in accordance with the requirements of the Contract Operating Agreement (COA) between Jacobs and client, and in accordance with safe work practices, quality of service, cost control and service delivery standards. The client site is a business, technology and research park. You will oversee the support of the general operations and will be the front-line manager to a staff that supports the site's mechanical system operations and maintenance program. He/she has a general understanding of the role of the team/ department, and facilities maintenance practice and standards. Your team will also provide project and technical support for the Environmental Department, Engineering Department, and annual site projects. The program manager is responsible for forecasting and managing the CUP, SWTP, & MT maintenance budgets year to year. This is done by managing actual budget spending vs forecasted budget spending and communicating regularly with the Program Manager and Business Controls to ensure the CUP, SWTP, & MT maintenance budgets stay on track throughout the year and come within 2% of budget forecast.

  • Maintains positive working relationships with clients, architects, engineers, suppliers, subcontractors, and job site staff.
  • Deliver monthly reports and metrics to the client in accordance with the COA.
  • Balances activities between managing work and performing industrial mechanical technician maintenance and repair duties.
  • Successfully manages multi-discipline and specific Craft activities.
  • Oversee the assignments of work orders and scheduled maintenance activities utilizing Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) technology.
  • Completes the scope of work to the satisfaction of the client, while simultaneously ensuring Jacobs HS&E, compliance quality, financial, risk management; business and policy are adhered to.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of commercial mechanical and building systems.
  • Leads day to day activities of a multi-shift, multi-craft maintenance team with focus on maintaining and repairing facility maintenance and operations.
  • Manages activity by work orders, utilizing a CMMS.
  • Oversees the cleanliness and organization of the maintenance shop, spare parts, and satellite maintenance spaces.
  • Possesses the leadership style and ability to grow a high performing, proactive maintenance team.
  • Demonstrates absolute commitment and dedication to safe work and employee wellness, therefore modeling safe work and monitoring safety requirements are required.
  • Effectively communicates with staff, management, and clients, through responsive phone, email, and personal interactions.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field is desired.
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office applications and CMMS technology.
  • Technical training and mentoring experience.
  • Supervisor / leadership training and experience.
  • Commercial facilities O&M experience. (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Janitorial)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Excellent organizational skills are required.
  • Strong fundamental financial acumen: accounting, finance
  • Strong industrial safety knowledge base, OSHA 10-hour certification or better
  • International Facilities Management Association (IFMA) credential: CFM, FMP
