This role is based in North Haven, CT and will include travel up to 50% (primarily in the US on the East Coast but may include other locations in North America). Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years as a Construction Project Manager focusing on critical facility infrastructure, manufacturing, and R&D projects OR 3+ years and an advanced degree

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in engineering (mechanical/electrical), construction management, or related field
  • Mastery-level knowledge and broad understanding of facilities and construction project management
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills; ability to manage complex, multi-team initiatives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with skill in facilitating discussions and influencing outcomes
  • Proven success working in a remote environment while maintaining engagement and accountability
  • Strong financial acumen: experience developing cost estimates, capital/expense budgets, forecasts, and status reports
  • Experience leading projects in med-tech or pharma manufacturing facility infrastructure
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with manufacturing operations to minimize downtime and mitigate impacts
  • Experience with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and controls infrastructure for complex manufacturing operations
  • Understanding of building systems, including clean dry air, bulk gases, purified water, wastewater treatment/neutralization, emergency power generation, and UPS systems
  • Experience guiding cross-functional teams through design, construction, commissioning, and qualification of mechanical systems (e.g., HVAC, compressed air, emergency power generation, wastewater treatment) in manufacturing environments
  • Professional, proactive, and concise communication skills for diverse audiences, including project teams, leadership, and regulators
  • Experience working within an ISO13485 quality management system and adhering to good documentation practices
  • High proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project)
  • Proficient with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam); AutoCAD and BIM experience
  • Ability to read and interpret construction design drawings and familiarity with design development processes
  • Familiarity with construction delivery methods and contract types
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal relations, positive attitude, and work ethic aligned with company mission
  • OSHA 30 Hour construction safety certification or equivalent safety management expertise
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English; Spanish proficiency
  • PMP or PE Certification
  • Physical ability to walk stairs, climb ladders, and navigate uneven terrain at job sites; able to perform site walks that may require standing for most of the day
  • Ability to travel 25–50% mainly on East Coast but could expand to other areas within North America at times

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple project teams and construction projects simultaneously, including remote teams, ensuring alignment and timely delivery
  • Facilitate effective conversations, ask probing questions, and foster collaboration to uncover critical information
  • Actively listen, synthesize key points, and communicate clearly to diverse audiences
  • Hold team members accountable for commitments and deliverables, maintaining transparency and tracking progress
