About The Position

This is a journeyman level position located in Shelton, Washington at the Taylor Shellfish Facility and is responsible for maintaining and repairing various buildings & processing equipment. This will be a swing shift 11:30PM to 12:30AM, Four ten hour shifts Tuesday through Friday.

Requirements

Experience with trade skills: electrical, plumbing, hydraulics and conveyors.
Must be able to read and understand; technical manuals, standard operating procedures, schematics, and measuring tapes,
Availability to work: days, nights, weekends, and on call, as needed,
Ability to use computers well enough for the job.
Minimum 5-10 years’ experience preferred,
Formal training from an accredited technical college or trade school or completion on an equivalent multi-year apprenticeship program preferred,
Must be 21 years or older,
Must possess & maintain a valid Washington driver’s license & clean driving record,
Regular, reliable, predictable attendance,
Must complete and maintain in-house forklift, tractor, first aid, safety, and H.R., trainings,
8 years minimum of applicable experience preferred,
Organization and planning skills,
Ability to work independently at times with little direction,
Strong and sound decision-making skills,
Excellent verbal/written skills,
Well organized and detail oriented,
Must maintain positive company morale,
Must have own tools.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic, repairs, preventive and maintenance work on processing equipment and buildings.
Report any company assets in need of repairs to the maintenance manager,
Report any safety and company policy violations to the maintenance manager or safety manager,
Compliance with safety and regulatory concerns including food safety,
May be required to do other tasks as needed
Ability to receive and maintain training
Supervise maintenance team with management directives
Professional conduct with all Taylor Shellfish employees and the general public,
Perform quality work on company assets in an efficient manner,
Demonstrate a commitment to all facets of the role, working towards the achievement of the company goals and objectives,
Awareness and compliance of company policies and procedures
Promote & maintain a positive, efficient, and cohesive work environment
