About The Position

Provide 24/7 coverage at the corporate office and maintain a safe, secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. Monitor access points, patrol the premises, respond to incidents and alarms, and enforce company safety and security policies using clear communication and a customer-focused approach. Due to the duties and responsibilities of this position, a Motor Vehicle Report and Criminal Background Check may be ordered on final candidates.

Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure
Basic knowledge of security protocols and emergency response
Ability to operate and access control systems
Conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques
Time management and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation
Shelter-issued Patrol Guard polo
Khaki pants (September-May)
Khaki shorts, flat-style, with no cargo pockets (June-August)
Work boots, used primarily for walking outside, including walking in inclement weather
This position is specifically for a 930 am to 6 pm shift
While the main schedule of the Facilities Patrol Guard will follow Shelter's "1st Shift" guidelines, with shifts varying from 7 AM to 6 PM, there may be times where Patrol Guards will have to work specific holidays, based on coverage needs
