The coordinator will engage in negotiations, manage project scopes and budgets, and facilitate joint use ventures to enhance educational facilities.

  • Coordinate agreements for Special Projects with governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, charter schools, and private entities.
  • Carry out activities related to the study, planning, and construction of Special Projects.
  • Assist in preparing applications and securing funds for projects.
  • Initiate, evaluate, and assist in the negotiation and administration of agreements and memoranda of understanding with third parties.
  • Participate in the development of program and project scope, budget, and use of bond funds.
  • Gather, identify, evaluate, and recommend facilities joint use partners.
  • Prepare reports and schedules regarding Special Projects and funding requirements.
  • Make presentations to District leadership and stakeholders to clarify project fund requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, administration, school business management, urban planning, architecture, or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in real estate, government relations, charter schools, or community relations.
  • Experience negotiating with governmental and private entities.
  • Experience in managing the real estate development process from an architectural, engineering, or functional standpoint.
  • Experience in project management in real estate development or facilities joint-use development.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work effectively with all District stakeholders.
  • Paid premiums for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
  • Membership in the California Public Employee Retirement System (CalPERS).
  • Up to two weeks of paid vacation to start, increasing to three weeks after five years.
