JOB SUMMARY Provides janitorial and event set-up and cleaning services for Division facilities. Performs inventory management and facilities and equipment maintenance.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of custodial work experience or other closely related field; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • Due to the nature of this position, the successful applicant must pass a required background check through fingerprinting and enrollment in the continuous RAP Back (Record of Arrest and Prosecution Back) program in accordance with current County Human Resources policy requirements.
  • Knowledge of: Methods, materials, and equipment essential for custodial maintenance functions
  • Knowledge of: Inventory control
  • Knowledge of: OSHA fall protection standards and use of safety equipment
  • Skills and Abilities to: Use standard equipment and supplies applicable to custodial/maintenance work
  • Skills and Abilities to: Follow verbal and written procedures and instructions
  • Skills and Abilities to: Establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public
  • May be required to work on ladders and lifts; lift up to 50 pounds; withstand extended periods of physical exertion.

Responsibilities

  • Provides janitorial maintenance of facilities, including routine daily cleaning and major cleaning as necessary. Identifies cleaning needs and adjusts tasks as necessary.
  • Performs inventory management of cleaning supplies and equipment, equipment maintenance, and preventative maintenance of facilities.
  • Coordinates with Event Management Team and Stage Managers to execute all set-ups, cleaning needs, and special requests from clients.
