Requirements

  • Mechanical/technical experience, skill and aptitude.
  • Must be able to pass and maintain qualification as a member of the HazMat Response Team. This includes a physical exam and use of a respirator. Facial hair can impede the respirator fit.
  • Able to professionally communicate and work with vendors, engineering, and contractors.
  • Must adhere to SOP/SOC’s and work instructions.
  • Able to write and develop new processes and equipment/facilities documentation
  • Experience abiding by strict safety regulations and participating in team safety activities.
  • Understands the danger points related to common facility equipment and processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a process manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in a facilities operations related position.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze critical and non-critical facilities equipment information.
  • Respond to alarms to make determinations for adjustments or shutting down components on facility equipment.
  • Perform preventative and responsive maintenance.
  • Maintain oversight of designated equipment. Perform preventative and responsive maintenance.
  • Dispose of hazardous waste and chemicals as per regulations and permits.
  • Involved in various projects such as new equipment installation, or equipment/facilities modifications.
  • Personal liability for compliance with Federal/State and local jurisdiction permit compliance.
  • Comply with Federal/State & Company safety policies and procedures.
