About The Position

Facilities Operations Specialist, under general supervision, coordinates and monitors routine, preventative, and planned facility maintenance, including mechanical and electrical operations, HVAC, custodial, and landscaping to ensure each building is a comfortable and safe facility for faculty, staff, students, and guests. The facilities operations specialist will serve as the on-site project liaison, as you would provide meaningful communication, training and development, and education to our end users. Come join us as we work together to provide superior customer service at Texas A&M University Health Science Center Houston campus. Salary: Starting salary is $71,250. Candidate must be available for on-call duties as needed. Facilities Management provides oversight for the maintenance, construction, custodial and landscape needs of the Texas A&M University Health Science Center, Engineering Medicine (EnMed) and the Institute of Biosciences & Technology (IBT), in the heart of the world-renowned Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas featuring strategic partnerships between the Colleges of Agriculture, Engineering, Medicine, Veterinary Medicine and Houston Methodist Hospital. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field such as Facility Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Project Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Four years of related experience in facility management, project management and quality assurance.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar knowledge with facility/construction management software including AggieWorks, Insight, AiM, e-Builder and Desigo.
  • Familiar knowledge with TAMU facility/ construction management and design protocols.
  • Experience working in a medical teaching/research facility or hospital.
