About The Position

Tesla is seeking a Facilities Operations and Maintenance Supervisor to lead and oversee the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of facility systems. This role requires a proactive leader who can inspire and manage a team of technicians while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will drive team performance, accountability, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years as a supervisor or manager, with a proven track record of leading technical teams
• Extensive experience in troubleshooting and maintaining facility systems (mechanical, electrical, gas/chemical, water, wastewater, controls) in a 24/7 manufacturing setting
• Strong background in workplace safety, emergency response, and compliance with OSHA standards; eligibility for OSHA 30 & Hazwoper 40 certifications
• Degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering or equivalent experience
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization
• Ability to adapt to shifting priorities, maintain composure under pressure, and drive solutions in a fast-paced environment
• Skilled in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Enforce a strong safety culture by ensuring adherence to OSHA regulations, PPE use, and LOTO procedures, while promptly addressing safety incidents
• Supervise the maintenance and operation of critical facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, fire/life safety, gas/chemical systems, and industrial wastewater
• Guide, mentor, and develop the Facilities Operations and Maintenance Team, fostering collaboration and continuous growth
• Set clear expectations, track KPIs, provide feedback, and implement performance improvement plans to maintain high operational standards
• Oversee external contractors to ensure projects meet Tesla's quality and safety standards
• Create, refine, and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to optimize facility operations and maintenance
• Analyze complex challenges, make informed decisions, and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency
