Facilities Mechanical Technician
About The Position
Facilities Mechanical Technicians perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and routine repair activities across facility infrastructure systems. Functional Responsibilities: Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities Conduct inspections of mechanical and electrical systems Perform minor repairs within licensed capability Identify and report observed deficiencies Support vendor access and coordination Maintain safe work practices in accordance with site policies Follow written instructions, document completed work activities, keep records Adhere to health and safety regulations Follow safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment Technicians are responsible for maintenance execution and do not assume responsibility for system redesign, capital replacement, or production outcomes
Requirements
- Carpentry, painting, HVAC and light electrical experience
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- Ability to detect safety hazards and communicate with appropriate staff
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to follow schedules and keep commitments
- Ability to follow directions from a supervisor
- Ability to demonstrate professionalism
