About The Position

Renesas is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to provide engineering support for facilities’ mechanical systems at its 120-acre site, which includes 528,000 square feet across 6 buildings housing semiconductor production, testing, and support groups. The role specifically covers HVAC, process piping, plumbing, fire suppression systems, and the industrial water plant (DI Water Plant). Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of engineering work in an industrial and/or manufacturing environment is highly desirable
• Must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. Person (ITAR role)

Responsibilities

• engineering support for facilities’ mechanical systems; HVAC, process piping, plumbing, fire suppression systems and industrial water plant (DI Water Plant)
• design, AutoCAD drafting, drawings, specifications, cost estimates and materials/submittals review/approval
• Maintain “as-built” plans, files and records of plant buildings, systems and equipment
• Evaluate plant needs, short term and long-term strategic plans and provides best available solutions
• Support operations and maintenance groups in trouble shooting existing systems and optimizing maintenance and operating performance and costs
• Assure compliance with all applicable life safety, city, state and federal codes and regulations
• Project management and supervise construction to comply with drawings, specifications, contracts and budget
