About The Position

The Facilities & Master Electrician is responsible for maintaining Munters’ facilities, electrical systems, and electromechanical assemblies to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role supports facility infrastructure, production equipment, and electrical control systems while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory codes and company standards. The position works closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a safe and world-class facility environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Massachusetts Master Electrician License required.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of related electrical and maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC code requirements and interpretation.
  • Experience with electrical theory and practice related to motors, starters, relays, circuit protection, PLCs, sensors, and control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret: Circuit diagrams and electrical schematics Ladder logic diagrams Layout drawings and blueprints Bills of materials and production schedules
  • Skilled in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Experience operating hand, power, and pneumatic tools common to the trade.
  • Effective team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • On call 24/7 for emergencies
  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, crouch, kneel, climb, stoop, squat, reach, and maneuver in tight spaces.
  • Ability to climb overhead structures and work beneath machinery.
  • Ability to lift and carry objects up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods of time.
  • Requires close visual acuity for detailed inspection, electrical work, reading diagrams, and equipment operation.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to Lean manufacturing concepts preferred.
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems preferred.
  • Ability to obtain forklift and overhead crane certification.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the inside and outside of Munters facilities in a safe, efficient, and professional manner with a world-class appearance.
  • Layout and construct electrical and electromechanical assemblies according to schematic diagrams, specifications, and applicable regulatory codes.
  • Evaluate electrical schematics, assembly drawings, BOMs, and specifications to plan fabrication and assembly of electrical components.
  • Plan and implement the layout of electrical control cabinets, sensors, actuators, conduit, and cabling systems.
  • Size wiring, contacts, circuit protection, conduit, and other electrical components according to NEC code requirements and design specifications.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems including motors, motor starters, contactors, relays, circuit breakers, PLC components, sensors, and related equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues related to facility infrastructure and manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks in collaboration with production and engineering teams.
  • Maintain facility utilities and infrastructure to support safe plant operations.
  • Perform quality assurance inspections and report results.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO-9001 standards and applicable safety regulations.
  • Support Lean initiatives by identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in products, processes, and procedures.
  • Respond to facility and equipment emergencies as required (on call 24/7).
  • Work in other areas of the plant as required.
