About The Position

Facilities Manager oversees the development and supervision of the day-to-day operations and maintenance. The incumbent will be responsible for the smooth functioning and code compliance of designated facilities, including equipment and systems, by managing and directly supervising the activities of the maintenance personnel. Requirements

  • Prior experience in service industry or contract services environment; experience in a healthcare setting is considered an asset
  • Minimum of 2 years direct supervisory experience
  • University/College diploma or a Trade Qualification as a journeyman in a relevant trade

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the effective maintenance and operation of buildings, grounds, equipment and hardware by utilizing efficient planning and scheduling and ensuring work is completed according to applicable regulations and standards.
  • Leads, supervises, and performance manages facilities staff and is accountable for the area’s operational planning as well as resource allocation and utilization.
  • Organize, plan, coordinate, execute, monitor and deliver minor work projects.
  • Assist with major capital projects when required.
  • Ensuring that work orders and service requests are completed in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Order/purchase of supplies.
