We are seeking a Facilities Manager responsible for performing the necessary plant engineering and maintenance of the Company’s physical facility. The Facilities Manager maintains all physical assets of the building and capital equipment, and oversees the utilities management, recommending changes in equipment or methods to sustain operating efficiency. The Facilities Manager will supervise and coordinate the upkeep of the grounds. In addition, they oversee the hazardous waste program and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations concerning hazardous waste and OSHA safety standards. The position also executes the company’s Environmental Management System (EMS) to maintain compliance with applicable federal/state regulations, OSHA rules, and AS9100 and ISO 14000 standards; develops, maintains, and distributes the annual and quarterly inspection calendars; and keeps all related logs, checklists, and inspection records. Additional duties include performing and/or conducting pre-audits and inspections related to EMS, coordinating with all department managers and supervisors, and managing all plant engineering required for production, including modifying or altering equipment to perform assigned tasks. The role specifies and approves outside contractors for construction and/or repair work, reviews their work against the contract, manages the maintenance budget, and performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in a technical field (or equivalent manufacturing experience)
  • seven or more years in a related shop
  • hands-on experience in HVAC and boiler systems, welding, electrical and plumbing, elevator and forklift operation, and ISO 14001 Environmental Management
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of management and personnel
  • solid PC proficiency (MRP experience is a plus)

Nice To Haves

  • experience coordinating EMS and environmental compliance programs
  • familiarity with AS9100 and ISO 14000 standards
  • demonstrated budget management experience
