About The Position

Genesis House is an immersive luxury destination that blends Korean culture with the Genesis brand, engaging all five senses across three thoughtfully curated venues. At the heart of Genesis House is the Korean philosophy of Son-nim, which means treating every visitor as an honored guest with warmth, respect, and gracious hospitality at every touchpoint. The Facilities Manager is a hands-on leader responsible for all aspects of building operations, maintenance, and vendor services at Genesis House. This role works in close partnership with the Executive Producer to ensure the facility operates seamlessly, safely, and at the highest standards, supporting elevated guest experiences and complex event programming. This position oversees daily facilities operations, driving efficiency, regulatory compliance, and premium presentation standards across all spaces. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, repair and lifecycle planning, safety and risk management, budget oversight, and vendor management. The Facilities Manager ensures all systems and operations consistently meet or exceed local, state, and federal requirements while maintaining a refined, luxury environment for guests, clients, and staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience in facilities or building operations required.
  • 5+ years of facilities management experience, ideally in a luxury, hospitality, or event-driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
  • Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and maintenance software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call situations.

Responsibilities

  • Uphold the immersive, sensory experience of Genesis House by managing not only the physical space but also environmental elements such as signature scent, cleanliness, and overall comfort.
  • Oversee daily facility operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, lighting, security, custodial services, and landscaping.
  • Develop and manage preventive maintenance programs for building systems and exterior spaces.
  • Coordinate routine and emergency repairs with minimal disruption to operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related matters and vendor coordination.
  • Manage third-party vendors, including contract negotiation, performance oversight, and service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and building codes.
  • Conduct regular inspections to maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and presentation.
  • Manage and track facilities budgets, including forecasting, purchase orders, and invoicing.
  • Partner with internal teams to ensure readiness for events, activations, and daily operations.
  • Support installation and upkeep of furniture, fixtures, displays, and technical infrastructure.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide after-hours support as needed.
  • Maintain strong communication with building management and external partners.
  • Accurately complete weekly timesheets, including hours worked and expenses.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
