Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency.
  • Bachelor's in Engineering or related field (preferred).
  • OSHA 30-hour General Industry Certification (preferred).
  • NFPA 70E Electrical Safety Certification (preferred).
  • Lean Manufacturing or TPM Certification (preferred).
  • First Aid/CPR Certification (preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated leadership.
  • Ability to motivate and manage reporting personnel.
  • Proficiency with CMMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to simultaneously schedule and coordinate multiple tasks according to priority.
  • Ability to counsel on safe work practices and carry out safety procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for CNC machines (e.g., lathes, mills, routers).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
  • Maintain and improve uptime and reliability of all production equipment.
  • Manage CMMS system for tracking work orders, maintenance logs, and asset history.
  • Coordinate with production to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption.
  • Manage servicing and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and infrastructure.
  • Oversee building security systems and protocols.
  • Implement and sustain 5S workplace organization methodology.
  • Coordinate maintenance of network infrastructure and facility-wide equipment.
  • Supervise and mentor a team of maintenance repairmen and facility technicians.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Provide training on CNC maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
  • Develop departmental KPIs and track data to drive decisions and action plans that align with business KPIs.
  • Maintain adequate staffing and training/development to successfully support operations.
  • Develop and manage the facilities and maintenance department budget.
  • Source and manage external vendors for specialized repairs and services.
  • Maintain inventory of critical spare parts and consumables.
  • Administer EH&S programs and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, state and local safety and environmental regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Oversee hazardous materials handling, storage, and disposal procedures.
  • Maintain documentation for environmental permits, inspections, and training records.
  • Lead safety training programs and promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
