About The Position

The Facilities Manager I is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of building facilities to ensure a safe, efficient, and well-functioning environment. This role involves coordinating with vendors, managing maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Facilities Manager I will lead efforts to optimize facility usage, reduce operational costs, and support organizational goals through effective space management. They will serve as the primary point of contact for facility-related issues, responding promptly to emergencies and routine maintenance requests. Ultimately, this position ensures that all physical assets and infrastructure are maintained to the highest standards, supporting the productivity and well-being of all occupants.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in facilities management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or facility management software.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and energy management systems.
  • Project management experience related to facility renovations or upgrades.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate routine maintenance and repair activities for all facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and structural components.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of facility assets.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, including negotiating contracts, monitoring service quality, and ensuring timely completion of work orders.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to building safety, environmental standards, and occupational health.
  • Respond promptly to facility-related emergencies and coordinate necessary repairs or interventions to restore normal operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and facility-related expenditures.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to plan and execute space allocation, office moves, and facility upgrades.
  • Monitor facility budgets and recommend cost-saving measures without compromising quality or safety.
