Position Summary: Supervises activities involved with staff: Facility's System Specialists, Engineers, Electrician, and Plumber. Coordinates schedules, shutdown, moving, etc. for all projects. Keeps facilities management informed of interim life safety issues and any changes to status of hospital systems. Other related duties as required or assigned by Director of Plant Operations. Requirements

  • OSHA 10 certification required.
  • None required. Some college preferred.
  • Four (4) years supervisory experience as a maintenance or construction supervisor in a hospital similar to RMC or equivalent experience in industry or military or eight (8) years experience in hospital maintenance and repair.
  • Must have a working knowledge of regulatory requirements pertinent to health care facilities including JCAHO, NFPA 99, NFPA 101, OSHA, EPA and Life Safety.
  • Possess good working knowledge of hospital mechanical systems, HVAC systems, medical gases, electrical distribution, emergency power, fire protection and alarms, power plant operation and general computer knowledge.

  • Keeps facilities management informed of interim life safety issues and any changes to status of hospital systems.
  • Other related duties as required or assigned by Director of Plant Operations.
