About The Position

Novolex® is a leader in packaging innovation, choice and sustainability. We manufacture products in paper, plastic and sustainable materials for the food, retail, health and industrial markets. The role involves maintaining, servicing and repairing equipment and the plant structure to help achieve and meet standards required by our company and outside auditors, while maintaining and abiding by OSHA and Good Manufacturing Practices. Responsibilities include performing inspections for cleanliness and proper operation of equipment, maintaining a team atmosphere, and executing general building repairs, plumbing repairs, installations, and inspections.

Requirements

• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen.
• Ability to work overtime as required.
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation.
• Experience operating forklift equipment.
• Ability to successfully multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to safety and continuous learning and development.
• Satisfactory completion of training courses as determined by management.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining, servicing and repairing equipment and the plant structure.
• Performing inspections for cleanliness and proper operation of equipment.
• General building repairs including roofing, floors, walls, partitions, fences, gates, overhead doors, and silos.
• Plumbing repairs including sinks, toilets, ice machines, and ground sprinklers.
• Installation for new projects, remodels, expansions or extensions.
• Changing filters for vacuum pumps, outside air, and oxidizers.
• Conducting inspections for water chemicals, loading docks, dock locks, hoists, lighting, and room audits.
• Maintaining 5s in the workshop and throughout the plant.
• Operating equipment such as forklifts, floor sweepers, and scissor lifts.
• Following safety procedures and reviewing M.S.D.S.
• Maintaining open communication with all employees and management.
