About The Position
The City of Port St. Lucie is seeking Facilities Maintenance Workers for various levels of maintenance and construction work on City-owned facilities. The positions are classified into three levels: I, II, and III, each requiring different levels of experience and supervision. The Facilities Maintenance Worker I is an entry-level position requiring three years of relevant experience, while the II and III levels require four and six years of experience, respectively. The roles involve performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry repairs, as well as general maintenance duties. The positions are essential and require reporting to duty during civil emergencies. The starting salary ranges from $17.13 to $19.83 depending on qualifications.
