About The Position
Samena Swim and Recreation Club is seeking a responsible, self-motivated, and hardworking individual to join our maintenance team. The job involves performing various maintenance and custodial duties to keep the Club and its operating systems in top shape. This person participates in the customer experience by providing responsive service that supports the club, our programs, staff, vendors, members, and guests. Typical day-to-day tasks include cleaning the Club, Club grounds, performing pool water chemistry testing, and restocking janitorial products. The ideal candidate will have keen attention to detail, maintenance experience, and experience working with limited direct supervision. We have two part-time positions available: Position 1 works Sunday 12-6pm and Monday to Wednesday 4:30am-10:30am. Position 2 works Thursday to Friday 4:30am-12:30pm and Saturday 12-8pm. One-year experience in recreation facilities is preferred. Candidates should possess general knowledge of custodial and maintenance practices, as well as experience working with pools, including maintaining water chemistry and pool cleaning. The role requires the ability to lift loads up to 50 pounds and climb stairs. The successful candidate will create friendly working relationships with customers, guests, and staff, remain flexible to adapt to changing work environments, work independently and as a team player, take initiative, and prioritize tasks. Proactive communication with supervisors and co-workers is essential, as is consistently exhibiting a professional appearance and positive, polite demeanor. Reliable transportation to/from work is required, and candidates must possess and practice the utmost integrity. Additionally, obtaining First Aid and CPR certifications within 3 months of hire is necessary, with paid training offered free onsite.
