About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician for Parish Family 11 which includes Holy Rosary Edmonds & St. Thomas More Lynnwood (Shared Position) will work closely with the Facilities Director to ensure that the buildings, grounds, equipment, and furnishings at both the school and parish campuses are kept clean, safe, and fully functional. This role supports a positive and secure environment for staff, students, parishioners, and visitors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in custodial or facilities maintenance (preferred)
• Working knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment, and supplies
• Basic skills in general maintenance, light repairs, and groundskeeping (preferred)
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as frequent lifting, bending, standing, and walking for extended periods
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (50+ lbs.)

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors
• Clean and sanitize restrooms and common areas
• Dust surfaces, empty trash and recycling bins, restock supplies
• Perform minor repairs (e.g., light bulb replacement, fixing leaks, tightening fixtures)
• Report significant maintenance needs to supervisor
• Assist with upkeep of outdoor areas, including debris removal and snow/ice maintenance when needed
• Follow safety procedures for equipment and chemical use
• Lock/unlock buildings and maintain secure access
• Monitor facilities for hazards or unusual activity
• Set up and take down tables, chairs, and equipment for parish and school events
• Assist with additional facility needs related to programming and gatherings
• Work collaboratively with school and parish staff
• Respond to maintenance and facility requests in a timely, courteous manner
