About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician conducts many duties within the plant that relates to the smooth operations of the facility and related equipment. This can include installations, repairs to equipment and physical structures, electrical systems, and general routine maintenance.

Requirements

• High school or GED diploma.
• Two plus years of experience in building and maintenance work.
• Ability to read and interpret service manuals and drawings.
• Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to detect defects in equipment and making proper repairs.
• Ability to work from sketches, diagrams, and prints, and in the care and use of tools and equipment used in trades involved.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for general maintenance duties with direct or indirect supervision related to facility maintenance.
• Duties can include, but not limited to, patching, painting, general repair, and replacement work as required.
• Following standard operating procedures, installs, inspects, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC sytems.
• Assists with facility maintenance projects as assigned.
• Checks and repairs pumps, fans, valves, motors, and other peripheral components.
• Performs preventative maintenance such as cleaning, changing oils and replacing worn parts.
• Other duties as assigned.
