About The Position

Jet Midwest is a full-service commercial aviation company, specializing in the sale and lease of commercial aircraft, engines, and parts as well as aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul services to the aviation industry. This position is located at the Kansas City International Airport Area, in the former TWA Overhaul Base facility. We are looking for a motivated, high-energy team member to join our Materials Operations Team. The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for researching, negotiating, and securing terms and pricing for services related to the inspection, repair, maintenance, and overhaul of aircraft parts. You will track and manage your assigned orders through the repair process to ensure customer expectations for on time delivery are met or exceeded. The ideal candidate for this role will have a broad understanding of procurement “best practices” and strong familiarity with sourcing repair services for aftermarket aviation parts from a 145 MRO environment or similar. To be successful, you’ll need to deploy excellent research, negotiation and prospecting skills, organizational skills, and a service-focused mindset daily. Requirements

  • A high-energy personality and desire to learn and grow quickly

  • Worked with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) Work ticketing system
  • Knowledge of electronic systems, security systems, access control and key management systems
  • Experience working in an older facility
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Have experience performing systems installation, troubleshooting and repair
  • Have 2-5 years of experience and knowledge of the following:
  • Audio and visual systems integration and troubleshooting
  • Electronics and security camera systems
  • Cabling and splicing
  • Reading instruction manuals, schematics, drawings, wring diagrams
  • Access Control, Switches and Key Management
  • Computers, Hardware & Printers

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Jet Midwest facilities and equipment are maintained at a high level of operational readiness and safety
  • Ensure top-notch support and assistance with maintenance tasks
  • Support team with daily work assignments, vendor communication, work ticketing system, grooming and progress reporting, preventive maintenance checklist reviews, and related tasks
  • Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance on the facility, included but not limited to, ground support equipment, company tooling, safety equipment, and building systems
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain, or repair the same
  • Operate motorized lift equipment such as scissor lift, forklift, etc.
  • Perform and support hot work/welding and fabrication tasks
  • Other duties as assigned
