About The Position

The 3rd shift Facilities Maintenance Technician will install, repair and maintain building electrical, plumbing and heating and compressed air systems along with flooring, painting, cleaning and other miscellaneous activities. Duties will also include performing installation, routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the facility and its equipment. Please note that there is a $2.00 shift premium for working on 3rd shift

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Must comply with GMP requirements; specific functions and documents will be discussed in GMP and on the job training
  • Knowledgeable in electricity (277 volts)
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Experience in forklift operation and lifting devices, such as pallet jacks
  • Basic verbal and written communication skills in English are required
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs
  • Must be able to work in a physically challenging environment including bending, sitting, and standing up to 8 hours
  • Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish, and shellfish).
  • We are drug free workplace, regulated by the FDA, required to follow Federal Guidelines; therefore in order to start as well as maintain employment, you must be able to successfully clear drug screening processes, which include testing for all illegal substances per Federal Guidelines.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or related field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and maintain facility mechanical and electrical equipment
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building and material handling equipment
  • Work with pneumatics, dust collection systems and other related facility equipment
  • Assist in relocating or installing building equipment as needed
  • Check equipment, chillers, air handling unit, and rooftop unit.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on facility and production system and equipment
  • Help maintain a professional, safe, and organized production facility
  • Support and maintain multiple facilities in close proximity to each other
  • Support Sanitation department with breaking down and disposing of boxes, using trash compactors, etc. to assist production areas
  • Drive scissor lift, forklift as necessary
  • Some weekend and work after normal business hours required
  • Must have the ability to work with vendors, contractors, Fire Dept., etc. in a professional manner
  • Supports, encourages, and complies with all company policies and procedures including Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety
  • Additional duties and special projects as assigned
