About The Position

As a Facility Maintenance Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting daily plant operations by ensuring the facility, equipment, and work environments are safe, functional, and well-maintained. You’ll perform a variety of hands-on maintenance tasks, inspections, and minor repairs while working alongside experienced maintenance professionals. This role offers the opportunity to build your skills across mechanical, electrical, and facility systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: General Maintenance- Perform routine facility upkeep including light repairs, painting, patching, and basic carpentry. Assist with preventative maintenance tasks on building systems and production support equipment. Replace lights, filters, batteries, gaskets, and other consumable items. Perform minor plumbing tasks such as clearing drains or repairing small leaks. Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance shop and storage areas. Equipment Support- Conduct basic mechanical checks: lubrication, tightening fasteners, inspecting belts, etc. Report equipment issues to supervisors and escalate problems requiring skilled technicians. Assist maintenance technicians during larger repairs or installations. Safety & Compliance- Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements. Conduct routine safety inspections of facility areas and report hazards. Support EHS initiatives through proper waste handling and housekeeping. Facility Operations- Perform groundskeeping tasks such as snow removal, salting walkways, mowing, or debris pickup. Assist with moving equipment, racking, furniture, and material when needed. Support building access control: door checks, badge issue reporting, minor hardware adjustments. Who You Are: Assumes responsibility for the outcome of others. Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Forklift or aerial lift certification and/or ability to obtain certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior facility or industrial maintenance experience.
  • Basic reading of maintenance manuals, diagrams, and safety documents.
  • Have at least 3 years relevant work experience (in a manufacturing environment).
