This role is responsible for ensuring the efficiency, safety, and overall functionality of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical. Requirements

  • Active/Current Secret level Security Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top-Secret level Security Clearance with (SCI)
  • 5+ years of facilities or maintenance experience
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Ability to lift 50–75 lbs., climb ladders, and work in confined spaces
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work across teams
  • High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

  • Active Top-Secret level Security Clearance with (SCI)
  • Facilities Management Professional (FMP) certification
  • Experience supporting cleared government contractor facilities
  • Willingness to support off-hours emergencies and holidays

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems; know when to call for external vendors
  • Conduct general maintenance including drywall, painting, carpentry, and minor roofing repairs
  • Complete daily facility walkthroughs to identify and resolve safety or maintenance issues
  • Maintain facility appearance and operational standards
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental standards
  • Respond to facility emergencies (e.g., alarms, flooding, system failures)
  • Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
  • Assist the Facilities Manager with day-to-day operations
  • Oversee facilities in the manager’s absence
  • Coordinate and escort vendors and service providers
  • Support meetings, events, and on-site activities
  • Communicate with building representatives and internal teams
  • Manage and track work orders and maintenance records
  • Maintain tools and inventory
  • Support scheduled runs between facilities (equipment and material transport)
  • Provide transportation support for employees or clients as needed
