About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment, systems, and facilities to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous operations. This role supports both preventative and corrective maintenance activities while maintaining compliance with safety standards and client expectations. The ideal candidate is hands-on, safety-focused, and capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in commercial, industrial, or facilities environments preferred
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and work orders
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • Must be able to successfully pass a background check
  • Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Must maintain a valid driver’s license throughout employment
  • Must possess a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card or be able to obtain one upon hire
  • Flexibility to work outside of regular hours as dictated by client needs, projects, or workload, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to travel locally between various assignments, potentially requiring the use of a personal or company vehicle
  • Obligation to carry a company cellular phone
  • Availability for 24x7 duty, including on-call rotations
  • Mandatory use of safety equipment or protective gear as necessary (e.g., insulated gloves, protective eyewear, hearing protection, safety belts, hard hat)
  • Occasional computer usage for reporting and communication
  • Ability to perform extensive physical activities including walking, standing, lifting, bending, kneeling, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching, crawling, and climbing
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Preparedness to work in confined spaces, on rooftops, and elevated platforms
  • Proficiency in utilizing various hand-held tools and equipment (e.g., hammer, welder, saw, drill, drill press, cutting torch, etc.)
  • Exposure to hazardous chemicals, fumes, and potentially dangerous mechanical and electrical energy sources
  • Willingness to work in adverse weather conditions
  • Ability to operate a 2-way radio or similar communication device
  • May be required to administer basic first aid (e.g., adhesive bandages, oxygen, etc.)
  • May be required to operate a fire extinguisher

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on equipment, machinery, and building systems
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and structural issues and implement effective solutions
  • Complete work orders in a timely and efficient manner while maintaining quality standards
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory
  • Ensure compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and on-call situations
  • Assist with installation of new equipment and systems as needed
  • Maintain tools and equipment in safe and working condition
  • Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and clients regarding maintenance needs and updates
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
