About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of building systems, equipment, and infrastructure. This role involves performing routine maintenance, emergency repairs, and preventive inspections to support facility operations and safety compliance. The ideal candidate is hands-on, resourceful, and able to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues across multiple building systems while adhering to safety standards and operational procedures.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in building maintenance, facility operations, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and repair facility issues.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina and manual dexterity are required for lifting, climbing, and performing maintenance tasks.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills are required to maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures and compliance standards, including OSHA guidelines.

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC, electrical, plumbing) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance and repair tasks across facility infrastructure, including walls, doors, flooring, furniture, and fixtures.
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance inspections of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems to identify and address potential issues.
  • Assist with plumbing repairs, including leak detection, fixture replacement, and pipe maintenance.
  • Support electrical maintenance, including lighting repairs, outlet replacement, wiring troubleshooting, and circuit testing.
  • Perform mechanical system repairs, such as HVAC components, pumps, motors, and other equipment.
  • Maintain and organize maintenance tools, supplies, and equipment to ensure readiness and efficiency.
  • Document maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs, maintaining accurate records for reporting and compliance purposes.
  • Respond promptly to emergency repair requests, minimizing downtime and operational disruptions.
  • Collaborate with facility management, contractors, and other maintenance personnel to complete projects and special initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and organizational policies, including OSHA and other relevant standards.
  • Assist in facility improvement projects, renovations, and upgrades as needed.
