About The Position

This position is responsible for delivering outstanding service to both internal and external members. A key component of this service is to effectively perform general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, equipment, and grounds at all AFCU locations.

Requirements

  • High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 4 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • This is a safety sensitive position which will require passing a drug screen as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of work in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds at all the various AFCU locations.
  • Performs plumbing repairs such as; repairing leaks, unplugging drains, unplugging fixtures, and replacing valves. Also will carry out plumbing installation such as; installing sinks, urinals, toilets, and performing all other plumbing jobs as deemed necessary.
  • Performs minor troubleshooting of repairs and adjustments such as; on doors, cabinets, desks, closets, door hinges. Also will carry out installation of doors, cabinets, desks, door hinges, and door closer's.
  • Ensure normal maintenance of Credit Union vehicles to include regular oil changes, tire rotations, and cleaning when necessary.
  • Utilize a personal computer to complete work assignments, check email, and access AFCU policies and procedures.
  • Exercises discretion in identifying projects requiring the services of a higher skilled crafts person. Then assists in obtaining quotes and arranging for services of outside vendors as needed.
  • Regularly updates Maintenance Log with completed maintenance requisitions and responsible for the completion of all maintenance services that are requested.
  • Requires moving of furniture and equipment at all the various AFCU locations; which includes setting up and breaking down cubicle partitions, installing modular work stations, and doors. Also will repair furniture such as; cabinets, partition dividers, walls, and doors.
  • Complete grounds work which include picking up trash, sweeping curbs, sweeping dumpster areas, snow shoveling, spreading salt, and all other related grounds tasks.
  • Required to inspect all AFCU building facilities to aide in identifying potential maintenance necessities.
  • Required to perform miscellaneous repairs and installations such as; painting interior walls, exterior walls, cabinets, hang wallpaper, pictures, replace ceiling tiles, and all other requests as deemed necessary.
  • Maintain a professional courteous manner with all residents, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
  • Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines.
  • Issue temp cards to vendors as needed.
  • Assist in pulling supply orders as needed.
  • Operate forklift to unload supply deliveries.
  • Back-up mail route if Mail Clerk is PTO.
  • Assist with basic access changes if needed.
  • Assist with re keying of doors if needed.
  • Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
