JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Experience routine building and grounds maintenance, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, motor and bearing lubrication, mechanical maintenance, painting, general construction, & drywall maintenance or repairs. Implement preventative maintenance measures. Familiar with industrial air compressors systems and compressed air distribution, process water chillers and cooling towers, fire suppression and alarm systems, HVAC systems, pumps, valves, motors, & fans. Perform daily visual and physical inspections of the facility and its supporting equipment and contents. Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies. The ability to operate a forklift, scissor lift, & electric hand truck is a plus. The ability to diagnose and perform routine maintenance for electric hand trucks is a plus. Oversee the work from outside contractors and other service providers like plumbers & electricians. Assist in facility projects with EH&S & other departments as requested. Excellent time management and organization skills. Adaptability, positive attitude, and sense of urgency to complete tasks in a professional manner. Able to respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocols like lock-out, tag-out (LOTO). Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted. Experienced in operating a variety of tools. The ability to operate machine shop equipment like band saws, drill presses, wire feed welders, belt sanders, & end mills is a plus. Able to work well with minimal supervision. Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures and regulations. Occasionally work different or overtime hours if needed to complete a repair or project.
