About The Position

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician at IDEXX’s Global Headquarters you will play a critical role in maintaining the reliability, safety, and efficiency of our building systems. This is a first-shift, hands-on role within a collaborative team environment, supporting a modern, complex facility in a stable and purpose-driven industry. Schedule: 7am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday, as well as on-call duty one weekend every 5 weeks (with on-call pay)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of HVAC/ facilities maintenance experience.
  • HVAC mechanical background with hands-on experience in commercial or industrial environments.
  • Associate of Science degree in HVAC Technology.
  • Experience documenting maintenance activities in work order systems.
  • Professional experience working with building automation systems
  • One of the following licenses is required: Refrigeration License, Oil Burner License, Gas License or High Pressure Boiler/Engineers License
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills with a professional presence.
  • Ability and desire to work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC and mechanical systems to ensure reliable facility operations.
  • Maintain and support equipment including chillers, boilers (13 onsite at IDEXX), air handlers, pumps, and associated systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical system issues and support timely repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Document all work activity accurately within work order and maintenance management systems.
  • Monitor and operate building automation systems (BAS) to support system performance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with teammates and other trades to maintain a safe, professional, and service-oriented work environment.
  • Support compliance with safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in ongoing learning and skills development, including training on new equipment and systems.
  • Obtain additional certifications as needed; IDEXX will sponsor a High Pressure Boiler License for qualified candidates who do not already hold one.
