About The Position

We’re seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team with expertise, vision, and a focus on excellence. In this role, you’ll take ownership of critical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, compressed air systems, and basic electrical work, ensuring they operate efficiently and effectively. You’ll also perform routine building maintenance tasks across multiple disciplines, such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, and HVAC systems, while keeping work areas clean and safe. Shift available: Monday through Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with a potential need after hours and weekends

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience in commercial property maintenance (preferred).
  • 1+ years of general maintenance experience (preferred).
  • a strong working knowledge of building HVAC systems and large industrial air compressor systems
  • familiarity with OSHA safety standards and local building codes.
  • excellent organizational and communication skills to track and prioritize maintenance tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safe and secure ingress and egress across all company properties.
  • Inspect buildings, equipment, and structures to assess functionality, identify issues, and recommend necessary repairs or improvements.
  • Perform minor electrical maintenance, including repairing or replacing switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, ballasts, fuses, cords, and small appliances using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.
  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance, such as repairing leaks, unclogging drains, replacing hoses, trenching, and laying new lines as needed.
  • Complete minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work, including surface preparation, painting, hanging doors, and installing locks and hardware.
  • Reconfigure, install, position, and remount modular office spaces and furniture, including wall panels, work surfaces, lighting, storage, and file systems.
  • Prepare and paint walls, floors, roofs, doors, restrooms, and equipment to protect surfaces from corrosion and maintain a safe, comfortable work environment.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on HVAC rooftop units (RTUs), including belt replacement, lubrication, and general cleaning.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on compressed air systems, vacuum pumps, chillers, and related equipment, including belt replacement, lubrication, and moisture removal.
  • Order and procure parts, maintain maintenance records, and ensure required documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Partner closely with all departments to manage facility requests and prioritize work effectively.
  • Serve as a liaison for contracted facility services and projects, including maintenance, cleaning, utilities, and construction.
  • Complete additional facility-related tasks and special projects as assigned by management.
