As a Facilities Maintenance Technician II, you will join a team that will provide you with a good foundational knowledge of facilities and maintenance in the healthcare field. A caregiver in this position works variable shifts, Monday – Friday 7:00AM – 3:30AM.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two years of experience in HVAC, general electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting or mechanical repair OR completion of a formal training program in building repair including HVAC, general electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting or mechanical repair OR military experience as a Utilitiesman, Builder, Machinists Mate or a similar role.
  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
  • Ability to be mobile for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information
  • Ability to move/transport items weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)
  • Ability to move/transport equipment weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)
  • Ability to move/transport carts weighing up to or more than 100 pounds (lbs.)
  • Ability to inspect equipment
  • Ability to install, repair and maintain systems, equipment, fixtures and/or structures
  • Ability to distinguish color
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
  • You will be required to comply with this program, which will include obtaining an influenza vaccination on an annual basis or obtaining an approved exemption.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, structures, and systems.
  • Perform minor maintenance repair work in electrical, plumbing, HVAS, carpentry, and/or paint.
  • Perform utility and structural repairs.
  • Document and maintain records of inspection and work performed.
