The Town of Snowmass Village is looking to hire a Facilities Maintenance Technician II to join our Facilities Division in the Public Works Department! This is an in-person position $1,000 sign-on bonus available! We are looking for a Facilities Maintenance Technician II who will perform building maintenance and repairs. Requirements

  • Any combination of experience and training equivalent to graduation from high school
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in commercial and industrial building maintenance work.
  • Some leadership skills and the ability to oversee construction operations, involvement in developing and assisting in the town-owned buildings.
  • A general all-around repair technician who possesses a knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, overhead doors, lighting controls, and applicable repair work; knowledge of cleaning methods, materials, and building equipment.
  • Knowledge of the hazards involved and the safety precautions needed in custodial and building mechanical maintenance work.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to arrive at logical conclusions in emergencies.
  • Ability to perform moderately heavy manual tasks requiring the full range of body movements; Ability to maintain routine records.

Responsibilities

  • Assists with the operation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, including controls, thermostats, and minor refrigerant components.
  • Maintains and repairs facility components, including doors and associated hardware; windows; siding and trim; drywall and interior finishes; roofs and roofing systems; flooring; general carpentry; painting; tile; and other finishes, systems, and components.
  • Provides routine and preventative maintenance on building systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Performs skilled maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of a variety of facility components, including, but not limited to, electrical systems; lighting, overhead doors, plumbing fixtures; and similar devices.
  • Repairs and replaces appliances, including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, disposals, water heaters, washers, and dryers.
  • Performs interior and exterior painting, drywall repairs, and applies texture
  • Works with all town departments, vendors, contractors, and the public.
