About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing various maintenance tasks as delegated by the Facilities Maintenance Tech I Supervisor. This role includes installation of shelters and signs, lawn maintenance, and ensuring the general appearance of bus stops and customer amenities. The technician will also handle some janitorial duties and must be able to work independently while adhering to safety standards and regulations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum one year of related experience.
• Valid Texas Driver's License.
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety practices.
• Ability to operate various maintenance equipment and tools.

Nice To Haves

• Mechanical knowledge (1 year preferred).
• Ability to commute to Corpus Christi, TX.
• Willingness to travel (25% preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform shelter and sign installation.
• Conduct lawn maintenance and maintain the appearance of bus stops and shelters.
• Handle janitorial duties as assigned.
• Respond to public inquiries courteously.
• Operate service vehicles and maintenance equipment, including forklifts and industrial sweepers.
• Comply with safety procedures and regulations.
• Work as part of the CCRTA's Emergency Response Team during emergencies.
• Maintain a dependable attendance record.
