About The Position

As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will report to the Facilities Site Manager in Monroeville, PA and you will participate in the installation, maintenance, and repair of facilities, labs, production systems, and grounds. This includes work on HVAC, production equipment, mechanical systems, chilled water systems, steam systems, and general building maintenance, with a specialized focus on 480V electrical systems and motor control circuits. You will provide expert-level service to ensure the comfort, safety, and reliability of the facility for colleagues, customers, and occupants. Your role includes troubleshooting, diagnosing, and performing routine and preventive maintenance across a variety of mechanical and electrical systems.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial, plant, or laboratory maintenance.
  • Experience with 480V electrical systems, motor controls, and electromechanical troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, steam systems, and chilled water systems.
  • Experience interpreting blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Excellent diagnostic, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Industrial and laboratory environment with exposure to electrical, mechanical, and environmental hazards.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work from ladders or elevated platforms.
  • Some overtime, weekend, or on-call work required.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair facility systems, production systems, lab equipment.
  • Work safely in all activities, wear proper PPE, follow all safety policies, and lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Conduct inspections, diagnostics, and troubleshooting to identify system malfunctions, inefficiencies, and electrical issues.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure optimal system performance, longevity, and safety.
  • Assist in installation, wiring, and modification of electrical panels, 480v systems, and motor controls.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and replacements.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and internal safety standards.
  • Place order for and manage inventory of parts and supplies needed for maintenance projects.
  • Collaborate with team members and on-site clients to provide exceptional support.
  • Stay up with the latest electrical, HVAC, and facility maintenance technologies and industry best practices.
