About The Position

Responsible for physical plant maintenance and compliance with life safety requirements. Monitors system functions and performs repairs and procedures within the scope of expertise. Arranges for equipment repairs and documents status of equipment and repairs. Monitors and documents preventive maintenance programs and activities. Supervises and/or performs activities according to Facility policy.

Requirements

• Training/experience in maintenance preferred.
• Training in basic mechanics preferred.
• Experience with healthcare equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support the philosophy, goals, and objectives of the Organization.
• Contribute to the progress and development of the approved Quality Management Program.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers.
• Maintain and promote professional competence through continuing education and other learning experiences.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures in performing job duties and responsibilities.
• Adhere to preventive maintenance systems and requirements.
• Maintain appropriate logs, operation manuals, warranty information, and capital equipment inventory on all equipment and systems.
• Perform assigned duties and responsibilities in fire, disaster, and safety programs.
• Perform delegated responsibilities weekly, monthly, and annually according to Facility guidelines.
• Perform routine maintenance inside and outside the facility and the grounds, including various tasks.
