About The Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the facilities and equipment in an efficient manner to ensure a safe environment in adherence to established facility, federal, state, local and regulatory standards, laws, and policies. Performs routine and specific maintenance services which may include grounds work.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of maintenance or facilities experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Certification or licensure in a skilled trade (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.) is a plus!
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Someone who takes initiative, works well independently, and truly cares about keeping our facility safe, efficient, and welcoming.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily maintenance and repair work on facility equipment and systems — including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, painting, and general mechanical repairs.
  • Keep our campus in top shape through lawn care, landscaping, and upkeep of parking lots and sidewalks.
  • Conduct regular inspections of emergency power equipment, generators, fire alarm systems, extinguishers, and lighting to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues quickly — reporting hazards, breakdowns, and safety concerns immediately.
  • Maintain and organize tools, supplies, and work areas to ensure a clean, safe workspace.
  • Assist with room setups for meetings and events and help coordinate with outside contractors when needed.
  • Participate in fire and disaster drills, staying ready to respond in emergencies.
  • Be available for on-call and weekend rotations when facility needs arise.
