About The Position

As the Facilities Maintenance Technician 2, your role will involve providing essential support to resort operations through the execution of maintenance tasks, including projects, preventive maintenance, and work orders. Perform engineering projects, guest calls, blitzes and preventative maintenance as instructed by resort leadership. Proficient in diagnosing and resolving plumbing issues, including troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing fixtures and piping. Skilled in addressing minor electrical problems by troubleshooting, replacing, and repairing components such as receptacles and ballasts. Experienced in troubleshooting and repairing a variety of household appliances and fixtures to ensure optimal functionality and performance. Familiarity with HVAC equipment, including the capability to conduct basic preventive maintenance and troubleshoot common issues. Proficient in repairing interior and exterior walls, wall coverings, and ceilings, including tasks such as texture application, painting, and caulking. Competent in the repair and replacement of tile, grout, vinyl, and carpeting. Capability to manage pools, spas, and related features, encompassing tasks such as chemical balancing and cleaning responsibilities. Engage proactively in procurement and inventory procedures to guarantee the availability of necessary materials and tools for on-site work. Proficiency in operating resort operations devices and software, including HotSOS and other applicable platforms. Demonstrates professional communication skills through radios, phones, emails, and verbal interactions. Aptitude to work safely using ladders, scaffolds, and lifts, while adhering to appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines. Demonstrates vigilance in identifying and recognizing potential safety or security hazards within the property. Embrace additional responsibilities as delegated by management to contribute to the overall success of the guest experience.

Requirements

  • High School diploma.
  • 1+ years of hands-on trades & maintenance experience in a resort or commercial environment.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and expressive with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication skills for fostering positive relationships with both guests and peers.
  • Ability to adapt to various situations, thrive under pressure, and deliver results within designated timeframes.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move, push and/or pull up to 50+ pounds.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays as required.
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in reading, writing, and conversing in English.
