Job Summary The Facilities Technician will be responsible for general facility housekeeping and assisting other facility maintenance staff members with all maintenance activities as directed related to the Memorial Hermann Consolidated Service Center (CSC). The following duties and responsibilities are intended to be representative of the work performed by the incumbent(s) in this position and are not all-inclusive. This role will report to the Operations Director but provide daily support and assistance to the Maintenance Lead. Hours/Shift: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm (with flexibility) Main Responsibilities: Assist Maintenance Lead with all facility related items including HVAC, materials handling equipment, storage, and more. Lead special projects as assigned by maintenance lead and/or leadership Other duties as assigned Desired Skill Sets: Prefer 3yrs maintenance within a warehouse/distribution facility Forklift and pallet jack experience a plus MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School diploma or GED preferred Licenses/Certifications: (None) Experience/Knowledge/Skills: One (1+) year of experience in facility sanitation, housekeeping, and general maintenance repairs preferred. Job requires a high degree of reliability. Must be able to work independently or within a team environment. Must have a broad knowledge of hand tools and maintenance equipment. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES Performs general facility sanitation, housekeeping, maintenance repairs, and office moves as directed. Provides assistance to all other maintenance staff and works as part of team while performing duties. Performs routine housekeeping tasks. Must be able to routinely lift up to 30lbs. Maintain and control the floor scrubber program. Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations. Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required. The position will almost always have exposure to work near moving mechanical equipment, exposure to precarious situations and potential temperature deviations. Works closely with and supports the Maintenance Lead. May be required to work on off shifts and/or weekends. Must be available for call in activity. Other duties and responsibilities that may be directed by management depending on work priorities. Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards within budgetary specifications including time management, supply management, productivity and quality of service. Promotes individual professional growth and development by meeting requirements for mandatory/continuing education and skills competency; supports department-based goals which contribute to the success of the organization; serves as preceptor, mentor and resource to less experienced staff. Demonstrates commitment to caring for every member of our community by creating compassionate and personalized experiences. Requirements

  • One (1+) year of experience in facility sanitation, housekeeping, and general maintenance repairs preferred.
