About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor at ABDM is responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of large shipping and distribution warehouses. This role involves developing and implementing maintenance strategies, ensuring safety compliance, and managing maintenance teams and contractors to maintain operational efficiency and cleanliness.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, including supervisory or team lead roles.
  • Strong knowledge of building maintenance, mechanical systems, and preventative maintenance best practices.
  • Proven understanding of safety regulations (OSHA), emergency response, and proactive maintenance planning.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Proficiency in Maintenance Management Systems (MMS) or similar software preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to evolving client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee maintenance staff and subcontractors to ensure efficient and compliant operations across all facility locations.
  • Mentor and train team members, fostering a safe and supportive work environment while promoting operational excellence.
  • Coordinate with janitorial, technical, and safety teams to ensure consistent service delivery in line with ABDM's quality standards.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for critical facility infrastructure and essential building systems.
  • Address and manage all reactive maintenance requests, including troubleshooting, repairs, and liaising with outside vendors for specialized services as needed.
  • Maintain and manage inventory control for essential spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring readiness for both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
  • Uphold rigorous health and safety standards, ensuring that all team members follow safety protocols, wear appropriate PPE, and are trained in emergency response procedures.
  • Conduct routine safety audits and inspections, coordinating with the Account Manager to align findings with ABDM's Health & Safety Management Program.
  • Lead and participate in safety training sessions to keep all team members up to date on best practices, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee the scheduling and quality of services provided by vendors and contractors, including janitorial services, landscaping, pest control, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and more.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports detailing maintenance activities, completed work orders, and safety inspection results.
  • Communicate maintenance plans and updates effectively with the Account Manager, site managers, and team members to ensure transparency and alignment.
