About The Position

Perform routine inspections of the facility to identify and address maintenance needs, safety hazards, and potential issues. Conduct regular maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry repairs. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies to minimize downtime and disruptions. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with building systems, equipment, and machinery to determine appropriate repair solutions. Repair or replace faulty equipment, parts, or fixtures, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Collaborate with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and maintenance projects. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, materials used, and any relevant observations. Assist in the development and execution of preventative maintenance plans to extend the lifespan of equipment and minimize costly breakdowns. Perform tasks related to building aesthetics, such as painting, flooring repairs, and general cleaning. Participate in safety inspections and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and protocols. Provide support during facility-related projects, renovations, or reconfigurations. Monitor inventory levels of maintenance supplies and materials to assist in procurement as needed. Maintain a proactive attitude towards continuous improvement and optimization of facility operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in facility maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Facility Specialist or similar role, with a strong understanding of building systems and equipment.
  • Proficiency in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and orderly work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while handling multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects up to 30 lbs., climb ladders, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift, sit, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods during work shifts.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols related to facility maintenance.
  • Basic computer skills and experience using maintenance management software is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. individually or 50 lbs. in tandem.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and bend for extended periods during working hours.
