About The Position

Facility Maintenance specialist is responsible for ensuring our facilities are fully operational with utilities functioning properly, snow removal, lawn maintenance, ground keeping and preserving a safe and healthy dealership. This includes daily and monthly equipment assessments, building and lot inspections daily

Requirements

  • Strong proven experience in facility maintenance/management
  • Demonstrated ability to operate a skid-steer
  • Capacity to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance manuals and instructions.
  • Ability to understand and carry out detailed written or oral instructions
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds or heavier with the assistance and/or use of proper equipment
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Work with Managers to keep entire dealership in working condition
  • Provide lawn maintenance (mowing, trimming, edging) to ensure our dealership’s grounds are well-kept and presentable.
  • Daily snow removal including sidewalks, driveways and lots
  • Daily lot inspections including removing trash that has collected within the grounds and fencing
  • Ensure preventative maintenance is done, working through heating/cooling systems, light bulbs, fixtures and ballasts
  • Clean and repair building fixtures including lights, locks, windows, doors, screens, walls, floors, gutters and drains.
  • Perform minor and routine painting, electrical, plumbing and other activities requiring hand tools
  • Assembles, repairs, maintains, and moves furniture, such as desks, cabinets, tables, chairs, shelves, and related fittings and fixtures.
  • Fix flooring, drywall, plaster, and painting
  • Conducts routine inspections and maintenance of heating, electrical, and air conditioning equipment; replaces filters; identifies and reports more complex maintenance needs to Managers
  • Clean and maintain waste oil burning furnaces, parts washers, and air hoses in Service Department when needed.
  • Inspects facilities and grounds for safety and security; identify and report hazardous conditions and facility maintenance needs to Managers
  • Assist with dealership special events, as needed
  • Plan and coordinate installations with management (heat, electricity, etc.)
