About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance Mechanic position at San José State University involves performing skilled trades work in the maintenance and repair of facilities. Requirements

• Four years of increasingly responsible experience leading to journey-level skills in facility repair and maintenance.
• Possession of a valid California Driver's License.
• Participation in all OSHA required physicals and examinations.

Nice To Haves

• Certification indicating completion of an applicable apprenticeship program.
• Journey level standing in carpentry and/or metal working trades.
• Knowledge of welding and fabrication techniques.
• Five years of journey level work experience in maintenance, repair, or construction/fabrication of carpentry or metal work systems.
