About The Position

Arisa Health in Jonesboro is seeking a full time Facilities Maintenance Manager. The Facilities Maintenance Manager maintains, operates, and monitors facilities maintenance programs and housekeeping contracts; has budgetary responsibility for the FM department; manages the FM department and personnel; advises and coordinates building renovations on existing buildings; and provides general maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment, and grounds. Arisa Health is Arkansas' largest and most comprehensive nonprofit behavioral health provider. Formed by the affiliation of 4 long-standing Arkansas community mental health centers, Arisa Health leads with exceptional care that nurtures health and well-being for all. Arisa provides outpatient services, Crisis services and emergency screening, substance abuse counseling, intensive children services, intensive adult services, medical services, and residential services in 41 Arkansas counties. This position is classified as Full-time, Exempt (Salaried) and reports to the VP, Facilities/ Transport Work hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., with some after-hours responsibilities from time to time

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of two to five years of verifiable experience with general building repairs and grounds maintenance required
  • Ability to work after hours as needed and to have reliable all-weather transportation
  • Ability to make decisions
  • Ability to perform duties and complete assigned projects within stated deadlines
  • Ability to communicate with employees and clients in person, in writing, and on the telephone.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge and experience with methods used in maintenance and building repair
  • Basic knowledge of uniform code books, electrical wiring, plumbing, carpentry, glass replacement, painting, sprinkler systems, pest management, and use of basic hand tools.

  • Ability to measure distance and calculate quantities; read and interpret specifications and blueprints; coordinate several projects simultaneously; forecast problems and make adjustments accordingly; plan and coordinate work schedules of maintenance personnel
  • Perform a variety of physical labor including climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and standing for long periods of time.
