Facilities, Maintenance & Machinist Technician
About The Position
MBI Direct Mail + Digital, Inc., a leader in the direct mail and digital marketing industry, is seeking a driven and mechanically inclined Facilities, Maintenance & Machinist Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a critical part in keeping our production facility running at peak performance. In this position, you’ll work alongside experienced technicians and production teams to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of mechanical equipment. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment while also utilizing your machining expertise to fabricate, modify, and repair custom components that support our operations. Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong interest in mechanics, machinery, or industrial equipment
- Prior experience as a machinist
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and equipment operation
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
- Ability to lift equipment and work in a physically active environment
- Basic math and measurement skills
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on production and facility equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime
- Fabricate, modify, and repair machine parts using machining equipment
- Operate shop equipment such as lathes, mills, drills, and grinders
- Assist with installation and setup of new machinery
- Read and interpret measurements, drawings, and tolerances to produce accurate parts
- Follow all safety procedures and company standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
