About The Position

The Facility Supervisor supports the planning, scheduling, and execution of facility maintenance and operational activities, helping ensure the city's public assets remain safe, efficient, and well-maintained.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of how to use necessary equipment for various functions of maintenance.
  • Ability to effectively supervise personnel.
  • Ability to complete daily work reports, timesheets and operation of laptop for work orders.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Provide a positive working environment for and maintain a positive working relationship with fellow employees.
  • Ability to read, write and understand the English language.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills/abilities.
  • Able to read blueprints.
  • Experience developing cost estimates.
  • Must exhibit excellent customer service skills.
  • High school diploma or completion of a vocational or trade school program.
  • Seven or more years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical maintenance and repair of buildings, with preference for at least three years in a municipal or governmental setting.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in supervision
  • Any combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.
  • Valid Texas Class "C" Drivers License with good driving record.
