Facilities/Maintenance Engineer Intern (Co-Op)
About The Position
As a Facilities/Maintenance Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that can include plant optimization, new equipment installation, industrial equipment troubleshooting, and more. This position offers the chance to be exposed to a manufacturing environment that includes forging, saw cutting, heat treating, etc. Primary Duties & Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Drive, determination, and a self-disciplined approach to achieving results; able to work independently without close supervision
- Team oriented/cooperative
- Critical problem analysis, decision making and analytical abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Experienced with AutoCAD / SolidWorks
- Sophomore, junior, or senior college student earning a bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical, industrial, aerospace or a similar engineering field.
- Cumulative G.P.A of 2.8 or higher.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with maintenance to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Assist in developing maintenance documentation including procedures and safety documents.
- Create/update 2D and 3D CAD files.
- Assist with capital projects to maintain or upgrade facility equipment.
- Assist with capital projects to install new equipment.
- Collaborate with the safety team on various projects.
- Represents maintenance on cross-functional teams.
- Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulation.
