About The Position

The Facilities Maintenance and Cleaner will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment within industrial facilities, as well as performing routine and preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both industrial cleaning and technical maintenance with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in maintenance or related field preferred.
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and techniques.
Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
Proficiency in troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and performing repairs using hand and power tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
Good communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with colleagues, supervisors, and external contacts.
Physical stamina and dexterity to perform manual labor and work in various environmental conditions.
Flexibility to work non-standard hours or be on-call for emergency maintenance situations.

Responsibilities

Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors, walls, and ceilings in industrial settings.
Clean and sanitize equipment, machinery, and workspaces according to established protocols and safety guidelines.
Dispose of waste materials in designated containers and ensure proper recycling procedures are followed.
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and report any shortages on equipment malfunctions to the supervisor.
Follow safety procedures and use protective gear, such as gloves and masks, when handling hazardous materials or operating heavy machinery.
Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental compliance.
Collaborate with colleagues to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Conduct regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs and potential issues.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as lubricating machinery, replacing parts, and inspecting electrical systems, to prevent breakdowns and ensure reliability.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to determine the root cause and implement appropriate solutions.
Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand tools, power tools, and precision instruments.
Conduct minor repairs of mechanical systems in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.
Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory of parts and supplies.
